Nicolas Herault

Nicolas is a Senior Research Fellow at the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.

His research interests include the study of income inequality and income mobility, tax and transfer policies, labour supply and homelessness. Nicolas is responsible for the day-to-day management and the development of the Melbourne Institute Tax and Transfer Simulator (MITTS ).

He has undertaken commissioned research for a large number of government agencies and private sector organisations including the World Bank, the European Commission, the Australian Department of Jobs and Small Business, the Commonwealth Treasury, the New Zealand Treasury and the Australian National Centre for Vocational Education Research.
