Mick Coelli is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. His main research interests are labour economics and the economics of education, with a focus on Australian labour markets and education settings. Inequalities in labour market and education outcomes are particular foci of his research. His work on school principals and on the effect of technology on the Australian labour market has received considerable attention both in the popular press and within government.
Mick has a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Prior to academia, Mick worked for the RBA, in funds management and in consulting.
